点评:The Poly is a wonderful place showing all sorts of wonderful films and plays. It also exhibits great art from local artists. The cafe come bar is a bit hit and miss. Part of the problem is it can be jam packed with students on their laptops hogging the tables. Some of them seeming not to even order a drink but with their own. There were no tables when we came but just as we were about to leave the most beautiful young woman got up and gave us her table before she had finished. This was very generous of her. The thing is though the laptop and the bag of one of the people serving behind the bar were left on the table with the lead plugged into the computer dangling over the floor ready to trip as up as we sat down. As we did so I moved the laptop slightly at which point the disgruntled owner hopped from behind the bar and made some inaudible remark shutting the top shut. She appeared to be indicating that I should not be seeking to look at the screen! Meanwhile her bag remained wide open on the seat. Anyone could easily stolen something from it. I would have said something, but given her rude behaviour did not. I observed that following this little incident that she appeared very grumpy as she continued to serve people. We would be inclined to pop in here more often for lunch or cake but think it's not very suitable given this experience. We have been into the cafe probably a dozen times and have found it an attractive place but that the people serving are not inclined to put themselves out.
