点评：I've come to dig here since 2019 and it used to be such a beautiful tree filled area with plenty of shade. The forest service came in and completely leveled the old mine area removing most of the trees up top and roped off the "dig area". There is NO shade in the dig area. No bathrooms. Bring an umbrella or small shade tent. The hike up is a fairly steep incline on a bumpy and rutted out old road. A cooler, wagon, etc is possible but the hike can be a little tough even for folks who are generally pretty fit. Would not be fun with small children. This is not a great family dig spot. Spend the money and go to one of the many commercial mines in the area. This isn't really a spot for beginners and is getting dug out very quickly. Minimal, if any, cell service. The spot is getting busier and busier, even during the week. If you enjoy just being in the woods and digging in the dirt, this is a good spot. If you actually want to find good, clear crystals, go somewhere else.
