点评：I took a party of 12 to Wensum Valley Golf Club for Christmas dinner. It was expensive so we expected to receive great food, service and to have an enjoyable time.
Unfortunately WVGC’s service and food fell well below the standard we were expecting. Service was unbearably slow, it took 45 minutes for the first starters to arrive even though we had pre-ordered our food months beforehand. Some starters came out after others had finished theirs, and one starter was completely unrecognisable with burnt sauce. There was no soup spoons on the table and when we asked for them, the waitress produced them from her apron! The carvery was good. But some of the desserts were inedible, thank goodness for the custard. There was a lack of space on the table so for some of us, we had no saucers under the coffee cups. On a table of 12 people, there were only 9 christmas gifts so 3 people went without. The staff weren’t very smiley and there was no Christmas atmosphere. WVGC was a huge disappointment.
We put in a request for compensation after the event and was offered a 30% refund on a take it or leave basis.
