点评：On our 2nd trip to Varenna, we found Paolo’s studio— after closing. Melita was kind enough to stay open for a few minutes and show us around. We found several paintings we loved and made arrangements to stop the next day to further examine them.
Upon our return the following day, we confirmed our love of Paolo’s work. In particular, an unfinished painting of Varenna caught our eye. We decide to get it once it was finished— sort of bought on commission or on faith— a decision we are thrilled we made!
There was also a second painting of Varenna at night that we also liked. We ended up getting that painting, too! Both are hanging in our house— lovely, brilliant reminders of Lake Como, Varenna, Italy and the friends made there.
Melita and Paolo were so helpful, friendly and warm that I am sure we will visit them upon our next trip to Varenna.
