点评:I found this museum on google and to make the most of our trip to Bedford we specifically left early to stop off here. Upon arriving we walked from the car park and found a door which turned out to be the ticket office, more signage would be very useful as it is easily missed. Unsure whether the two museums on this site are under the same ticket (again, lack of information and we mainly wanted to visit the aviation museum) we left the building and began walking over towards the other building. We were met by two male volunteers who informed us that we needed to purchase the tickets from the first building. Heading back to buy our tickets we were met by a female volunteer who asked us “what’s occurring” as though we were doing something wrong. We felt very uncomfortable with the tone of the question and very much felt like she suspected us of some wrongdoing despite merely trying to buy tickets to support the museum. She got very close to me as I tried to explain and made us feel very unwelcome. Unsurprisingly, I decided we wouldn’t be staying. I very much felt this attitude was due to our age (mid 20’s) as some previous older visitors before us seemed to be treated perfectly well. Such a shame that we didn’t get to enjoy and support the museum but with volunteers like that, I lost all interest. Definitely need to look at welcoming all visitors and not just the stereotypical demographic.
