点评：The GD Museum experience was extremely disappointing due to severe mismanagement and unprofessional behaviour by the staff—especially the head guard. All official sources, including online platforms and the notice board at the museum gate, clearly mention that the museum remains open until 6:30 PM. However, the reality is completely different.
Visitors reaching after 5:00 PM are met with closed doors and rude responses. The head guard makes people wait unnecessarily for 20–30 minutes, only to inform them that entry is not possible and that they should have come by 5:00 PM—even when every available source mentions 6:30 PM as the closing time. This is not just misleading but outright disrespectful to the public.
To make things worse, no accountable authority is available on the premises after 5:00 PM. The entire functioning of the museum post-5 PM is left to outsourced security personnel who have no knowledge, responsibility, or courtesy to handle visitor concerns. The actual museum staff, including the manager and in-charges, leave well before their official duty time ends.
This kind of negligence damages the reputation of an otherwise valuable historical and scientific museum. If the museum timings have changed, they must be updated across all platforms. If not, then the staff behaviour and duty protocols need serious correction. Such mismanagement is unacceptable at any public institution, let alone one of historical importance.
Strongly recommend that the authorities take immediate action.
