点评:We were spending a few days in Santander prior to catching our ferry back to the UK and decided that we would like to visit the air raid shelter. It was easy to find, just a few streets back from the sea front and we booked time allocated tickets online, although we noticed that some people did just pay on entry. It is not a very big place and, I would imagine there would be a limit as to how many people are admitted at any one time.
As the site is underground, access is via steps from street level. They did have a stair lift available but the experience is not wheel chair accessible. It is quite claustrophobic inside as the roof is very low down but, when we were there, only 8 other people were with us so it was not a problem.
Unsurprisingly the guide only spoke Spanish so we were unable to understand her but there was a QR code which gave us access to the audio and video and we really did find that useful (if we had known, we would have taken ear buds). We were able to download this information too which was useful.
All in all it was well worth the 3 Euro entry and was 3/4 hour well spent.
