点评：We booked a tour with Hidalgo Corp. due to the business relation with hotel palacio de sal, where we stayed. While the tours were more expensive than others in the area, we chose them because they offered reliable transportation, insurance and satellite radio for emergencies. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. On the first tour day to Laguna colorada, the car broke down twice due to overheating. The desert terrain, lack of roads, no cell communication and the isolation made this a terrifying experience. When the car overheated for the second time, I asked them to use the satellite radio, only to find out that they didn’t have one because the company didn’t have enough for all tours. We have to use all our drinking water bottles to cool the engine and get to a less isolated area. Fortunately, after an hour of driving , we found another tour company that provide us with more water to reach the hotel. I requested a different car and satellite radio for the next day’s tour due to the previous day’s issues and the air conditioner expelling a lot dust. To my dismay, they showed up with the same car and no satellite radio. I insisted on getting the satellite radio, so we drove to their office in Uyuni to get one. After completing the second day tour at night, we were all sick from the dust that we inhaled from the air conditioner. I asked for a least partial reimbursement, but they refused. In summary, I can not recommend Hildalgo tour as they take safety lightly, which is dangerous. Additionally, I discovered on the second day that the car was on sale, raising concerns about its suitability for long trips.
