点评:This review is for the planetarium-only tour but judging by the telescopes I wouldn't expect the telescope tour to be impressive either.
First off, this isn't a planetarium in any true sense of the word. When you hear planetarium you don't think "walled off corner adjacent to the Fairmont Lodge parking lot" but here we are.
The presentation occurs inside a dingy small dome and consists of a person narrating a brief and basic overview of a few stars, galaxies and planets, while they are projected on the small dome's ceiling. They will say a few facts about each thing shown, but the facts are so random (e.g., Saturn's rings are a kilometer thick) that you would think they'd just ChatGPT'd "space facts" before the show. There are better narrations on YouTube and you would probably learn more.
There is a small nod to the First Nations because a recording describes a legend of the people from this area, but way more could have been done to make it unique or a bigger part of the presentation.
At the end they waste a few minutes showing cities at night from the international space station. You are better off watching Air Canada's or United's in-flight screen.
All in all, you could spend far less money and learn far more sitting on your hotel wifi watching YouTube.
