点评:We recently attended a cooking class at Jul’s Kitchen and the experience was wonderful. We met at a coffee shop in Colle di Val D’Elsa and had coffee and some sweets for breakfast. After we visited the outdoor market to shop for vegetables, cheese and meat at the local butcher we were off to her house to cook. Her kitchen is in the country and is the epitome of an Italian country home. We were with a family of 5, mother, father and 3 children. The children were great and really were hands on from prepping the squash to making the pasta and then the cake.
The menu was pinzimono with fennel and olive oil, cheese and meat antipasto with porchetta and a chocolate sourdough bread with gorganzola and topped with persimmon. A fresh tagliatelli with butternut squash and sausage sauce, green beans stewed in tomato’s and finally a delicious apple cake. I had also mentioned to Giulia that I grew up eating Cucina Povera and liked tripe, so she actually made it for me! It was a wonderful afternoon hosted by Giulia and Tomasso. If you are looking for a unique experience do not hesitate booking Jul’s Kitchen!
