Superb Harbour great things to see... Chapel on Hill and Damien Hirst's 'Verity'

点评：There was a large Morris dancing competition on in Ilfracombe with different Morris dancing groups (the correct word for a group is SIDE!) dancing at various venues. On arrival at the harbour we parked easily and we watched two different 'Sides' dancing. One group all women used to 'Blackface' which was traditional with some 'sides'. The fact was that blacking the face had nothing to do with race but was to hide a dancer's identity. Well no longer... the wokey, stupid, ignorant elements in our society have put an end to tradition. They were by the harbour cafe and very good. We then went over to look at the Damien Hurst Bronze Statue towering into the sky named 'Verity' and she is worth seeing on her own. One side is the normal pregnant woman and the other side is with the infant in the womb exposed and the woman's face changed to a skull. A great place the harbour at Ilfracombe and worth a visit to the Chapel on the hill above and the old lifeboat station
