点评：We visited Maruikesama Pond and it was one of the most peaceful and unexpectedly beautiful spots we came across on our trip.
The journey there is part of the experience — driving along narrow roads through rice paddies felt incredibly scenic and uniquely Japanese, and added a real sense of adventure. We parked our car at the nearby Minowa Salmon Hatchery, which was a convenient starting point.
From there, it’s a short and lovely walk through the forest, passing a small wooden shrine along the way, which adds to the atmosphere and sense of tranquillity. Then you arrive at the pond — and it’s absolutely stunning. The clarity and colour of the water are remarkable, and the whole setting feels calm, almost otherworldly.
It’s not a large attraction, but that’s part of its charm. If you enjoy quiet, nature-based experiences, this is a truly special place to visit.
