Yes, you can see the stars and the Milky Way just by looking up in this area, but the observatory’s location on a sizeable hill provided an even better view of the horizon. The telescope allowed us to see fascinating stars and distant galaxies that we wouldn’t have noticed on our own. Donna’s explanations added so much depth to what we were seeing—we would have missed a lot without her insights.
