点评：This mill, and the estate in which it sits, are a secret, hidden wonder ! Don't miss it!
We called on a late summer day, to compare the corn mill to others we have visited, and Wowww ! Were we surprised ? The mill is a working, well restored and maintained undershot (the water passes under the wheel) water mill, which is still making flour of several kinds today, and selling bags in their shop today. The guides are very helpful (talk to Sheila if you can), the mill is well presented with lots of exhibits and explanations of the process and history. The shop is too tempting with flour, not just wheat but rye, barley and oats all available, and a range of mill related souvenirs. (Buy some, you'll help to keep it going!)
Outside there are a range of other things to do and see, easy car parking and a roomy, attractively presented tea room with drinks, too many tempting things to eat, and friendly staff.
This all fits into the amazing Ford & Etal Estate. We came to see the mill, but there is so much more here about the estate, it's history and family, architecture, and rural life through time. A beautiful place to visit, relax and soak it all up !
