点评：These are heritage-listed public gardens in St Kilda, known for their scenic foreshore location, historic palm-lined avenues, and a modern playground. Designed by Carlo Catani, the approximately six-hectare gardens feature walking paths, open lawns, and several memorials and monuments.
The most striking feature is the extensive use of palms, such as Canary Island date palms, lining the historic boulevards and creating a signature landscape.
The open lawns, picnic tables, and bays of bench seats make it an ideal spot for relaxing and enjoying a picnic. Although... when I was there, it wasn't looking exactly welcoming... there was temporary fencing erected around the war memorial and along other areas and several shady characters wandering around.
The gardens were originally called Captain Cook's Lawn, and were renamed Catani Gardens in 1927 to honor Catani's contribution to the area.
