点评:We chose to start with the entrance to "Portal de ses Taules" for the sake of history:
The Portal de Ses Taules, built between 1584 and 1585, is the main entrance to Dalt Vila, Ibiza Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its name comes from the "taules" (wooden planks) that formed the original drawbridge to cross the moat that preceded it. It is adorned with the shield of Philip II and Roman statues, replicas of which are on site, while the originals are kept in the Archaeological Museum.
First of all, be careful what shoes you wear for the tour, as the stones on the ground are as smooth as ice. It's fine going up, but going down is more complicated. I was wearing flip-flops and had to take them off on the way down because I was slipping so much.
Another little tip: start your tour by climbing up the Portal side and going to the very top of the fortifications. Afterwards, you can descend on the other side via a long path made of stairs (it's more convenient but less pretty; you'll see when you get there).
The old town is very pleasant and far from the hustle and bustle of the port. It's picturesque, and there are superb viewpoints for taking photos.
There are bars where you can eat and pleasant squares to relax for a while.
