点评：We were going to Gupt Kashi and enroute we saw this huge crowd and a long line of cars. The driver told us it is the deity that protects the four Dhams. The top portion of the mata (mother) is here and the bottom is supposed to be in another place, I forget.
On the way back we stopped by. It was extremely hot and as we entered we saw that we had to go down and then walk a king way in the river to go to the temple. As one of us had sprained the ankle we were wondering if we could come back up.
Fortunately a local guide said he can take us in his car through the maintenance route as we had a disabled person. He had an old jeep and he said INR 809 for the whole drive and back or we wait to get 8 passengers. We took the whole vehicle and he took us down through a muddy road with a guarded gate. He waited till we finished our darshan.
We leave our footwear outside and walk in. If It’s pretty hot there are a few places where one has to walk on stones and it does burn the feet. Carpets provided at most places tk protect your feet.
The crowd is huge and plan an hour to visit the inside.
Leave leather belts at the gate. Tie them tk the gate and pick it up on the way back. No one steals or picks someone else’s belt !
