点评:Reykjavik is fairly brutal, quirky and unique. It's not called the land of ice and fire for no reason and it kinda extends to a lot of other areas.
We arrived into the airport to Arctic winds and heavy snow and had to carefully run to a bus on the tarmac to take us to the terminal. It was a fairly chaotic introduction, but it didn't stop there.
Once inside the airport we found the FlyBus and were marshalled onto a bus with what seemed like little regard for any organisation so it left you feeling very uneasy from the get go. People were ordered off buses and moved to different buses; counted and recounted; and you were told that everyone is going to same place so it didn't matter if you're bag was under a different bus. Just cross your fingers.
It took a while to move off but once we got going it was interesting to view the luna like landscape as we travelled across the peninsula.
We arrived to a bus terminal in the middle of nowhere and again we were herded off, put in a holding space, we searched for our bags and were then transferred to another bus with the same confusion and uncertainty as before.
It was an orderly transfer to our hotel but we made it! It just wasn't what we expected.
