York Park & Ride的点评
点评：We got to Askham Bar park & ride about 11.30 on Sunday 30th November. There was a huge queue for the bus and there was a bus just about to leave.We knew it would be busy as we have used this site before. We waited and a bus came quite soon. It parked up and the driver got out because his bus was too early and there should have been another one before him. The earlier bus did not appear at all so eventually he decided to fill up and go, by this time the queue was even longer. We were the last to get on the bus and had to stand as it was packed. The traffic was terrible and we finally got into York an hour after arriving at the P & R site.
On the journey back we joined another massive queue at Clifford’s Tower stop. A bus left as we got there and the electronic notice board showed the next bus was due in 17 minutes. About 5 minutes before this was due it disappeared from the display and the next bus was 29 minutes away. This eventually turned up and after nearly an hour waiting we set off back. Again the traffic was horrendous. It took two and half hours for us to get home. We work in York every Sunday and the journey is normally about one and a quarter hours. The bus company and York clowncil need to get their heads together and sort something out. Every year the Christmas market and ice rink foul up the city and cause chaos. They don’t even deserve 1 star.
