Horrible train ride experience - save your money and do something else
阿斯彭渡口的点评
点评：We went on the superhero and princess train ride. This was no means a cheap experience with the cost for a single adult setting you back $100. It was honestly just depressing.
The only theme was the children that arrived in costume, some printed symbols on the walls and a paper on the table. The 'activities' were 4 hoola hoops, two pylons and 4 smaller rings.
There was also a lady doing glitter tattoos and that was definitely the highlight, and she did a good job while coming in costume. So she was great, but everything Aspen Crossing related was just sad.
Yes, we were on a train, exceptionally unsafe from the 1940s train with zero safety other than telling the kids to hold their arms at their sides while moving between cars.
The food was horrible. We got two very sad celery and carrot sticks with ranch dip as the appetizer, a Caesar salad with chicken for lunch that was pretty awful (they said it was spaghetti and meatballs when we were boarding?) and the kids got chicken fingers and fries. Dessert was a chocolate chip cookie for the kids (the worst I have ever had, I spat it out) and strawberry ice cream from a Styrofoam cup and peel off lid. I honestly didn't think they made that kind of ice cream since the 90's. I have also had much better food on airplanes and at hospitals.
Fine, its not going to be fine dining, and if that were the only complaint I would have said it wasn't a big deal. But the lack of entertainment was just so sad. Yes, it was cool to be on a train, but that was pretty much it. I am glad kids can make the best of anything but for what we paid this was abysmal. I cannot recommend more that you save your money and do something else, there are far far better things to do in Alberta.
