West Coast Railways的点评
点评：Chosen as a special trip for my brother's 60th birthday, the main attraction was to travel by steam train as advertised in the promotional literature.
The date we booked in June was cancelled at short notice by West Coast Railways, incurring incovenience and expense to us as we had paid for overnight accommodation.
The rescheduled date in July was substituted with a diesel at short notice and without explanation, which was deeply disappointing given the premium cost of the experience.
In addition, customer service left much to be desired. The buffet carriage offered only prepacked snacks and staff onboard are focused on selling extras rather than providing helpful information about the journey.
As West Coast Railways did not deliver as advertised on either occasion, I would not recommend this experience. If you get the steam train, lucky you.
