点评:Fantastic idea!! Generally called "Graffiti Alley" as it is not really a street. My wife and I were here on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Many people walk right by one end of it on Hoogpoort on the way to other attractions without really knowing it is there. You can also enter at the other end (like we did) off Onderstraat. It is about 390 feet long (120M) and curves about, giving you the feeling of being lost in it.
Instead of prosecuting graffiti artists, Ghent gave them a place in the heart of the city where they could spray the walls. The street artist ROA was one of the first artists to create a work here. The city has also knocked a hole in the wall and opened a ‘Giftshop’ next to the alley. The aim is to create a cool urban spot where tourists can meet up with artists, pick up information, grab a coffee and buy an artwork. It’s open from 2PM to 10PM. Very enjoyable walk to see the talented creations that change frequently. It's is a hidden gem and a FREE must SEE when in Ghent.
