Well developed site with lookout points and maintained trail

点评：Well worth a stop if in the Drumheller region.
If coming from north of Drumheller, Google Maps may route you via Monarch Hill Rd, which is unpaved, as a shortcut to AB-9. At least when I was there (in late August), this road was well-graded and you could comfortably drive the 80km/hr posted speed limit. Monarch Hill Road starts with a steep hill but then straightens out.
The site has paid parking. $2 CAD. They accept payment by credit card or via phone tap. It looks like you could probably park across the street to save $2; but $2 is a modest fee, they do maintain the site, and the person who takes your payment can help with info about the site/orientation. There are maintained [pit] toilets at the parking lot.
There are three designated lookout points providing fine views over the canyon. There are stairs down into the canyon and a short, obvious main trail (20-30 mins). You can wander farther into the canyon past the main trail. Lots of people were clambering over the hills off the trails - getting nice selfies but perhaps causing some erosion issues.
Some TripAdvisor reviews seems to confuse this site with Horsethief Canyon, which is a separate site 30 mins. to the N of this one. That is also worth a stop; the trails there are less obvious / not maintained.
