A Fun - Not Snobby - Experience!

点评：We've never been to a polo match and felt like a trip to Newport provided an excellent opportunity to try it out! We tried to get a Pavilion table, but they were sold out. So we bought lawn tickets, some chairs and a styrofoam cooler, and off we went! We all thought this was going to be a snooty experience, and it absolutely was NOT. We set up our chairs in the "end zone" area of the polo field on a slightly cool, sunny day. What fun! We ate and drank, tried out almost every food truck, listened to the announcer and learned the rules and calls of the match, and we experienced watching the match in an almost tailgate like atmosphere. We walked over to see the ponies, to check out the tent displays folks put up, a tent gift shop (products were nice but expensive), along with the Pavilion area. And while by the Pavilion area, we found out that after about halfway through the match, you could purchase and move over to Pavilion tables that weren't used. We all agreed our polo match day was a total hit, and we'd go again if we return to Newport. If you're considering it, don't hesitate - go ahead and buy tickets and go! Super fun day!!!
