点评:For a state park, this park offered fairly large (albeit not much grass) and private sites. Well done! The sites along the back (especially toward the end of the campground) were right up against wetlands, making for very 'buggy' camping. The mosquitos are mutants that can bite right through thick wool socks!
There is a double-berm between the middle and front sites (about half the front sites have been rendered inaccessible due to erosion--the road has fallen the 15-20 feet down to the lake level) with paths to climb to get to the waterfront road. The lake is about 15-20 feet climb down, but amazing rock-hunting is to be had!
The bathhouse was VERY nice. Outhouses were a bit of a walk from my site, but not horrendous. They could have used a mid-week cleaning, as well as dumpsters.
The nature programs were frequent and interesting. Krystal, the program director, made the programs interesting for all ages.
We had a lot of rain, which meant the infamous UP flies were biting on our first day. But after that we didn't really have an issue with them.
This park is going through some updates (electrical is down for most campsites), and I understand some changes are forthcoming. I HOPE the size of the sites doesn't suffer.
