点评:This local museum on the outskirts of Hoddesdon is in an attractive building, Lowewood House, with spacious grounds. The volunteers who run it are enthusiastic and welcoming but are quite happy to let you wander around at your own pace if you wish. Although mainly of local interest, with a slant towards participation by children, there is much for adult visitors to see. All the exhibits are well displayed and documented and make a visit worthwhile to anyone unfamiliar with this corner of Hertfordshire. There is no admission charge.
We had not realised the Cliff Richard past connection with the locality, of which a display reminded us. Limited opening days (Friday and Saturday) had precluded us from visiting until we had a free Friday but we are glad we took the opportunity. Highly recommended and could probably become more well known with increased inputs of time and funds to support what has been achieved. A bit of a hidden gem.
