We arrived with high expectations which were then far exceeded!

点评：Our tour of the D-Day sites for exceeded my expectations! Chris brought D-Day to life! As we were planning our trip, my husband would talk about the places and the battle. My thoughts went to the feelings, the families and the relationships. Chris’s tour covered all these and more! It is quite obvious that he has a love for sharing his incredible knowledge about the sites and many of the people who fought on D-Day. He comes equipped with videos, photos, artifacts, and stories that he learned directly from those who were there on June 6, 1944. He drew us a map in the sand on Omaha Beach and then described every wave of the attack. When we visited the American cemetery, he had photos of some of the people buried there and accompanied the photo with their story. There was another group there whose guide was listening and learning from Chris. She stopped, and he explained things to her and her group as well. That told me he knows far more than most guides and loves to share with those who aren’t on his tour. (Of course never letting other groups detract from our experience! He is certainly a professional!)
