点评：Writing as an 73 yr old American, my parents took my brothers and I to visit Normandy by car circa 1958 when my Dad was working in London. Even for a 7 year old, it was for me a memorable experience which I have long wanted to share with my own children. They long resisted, preferring sunnier vacation spots and not identifying with the WW2 generation of my parents and uncles. Finally my kids relented and my son (age 33) booked a private tour with Chris. I am so glad he did. Despite the chilly wet weather, (typical of Normandy in April), we were treated to a fascinating experience as Chris made the sights come alive. His own combat background gave him a credibility that I did not sense from other otherwise competent guides. Look, I recognise that battlefield tours are not everyone’s cup of tea, but this one was captivating for all 5 of my family who are not normally keen on military history. Bring a jacket.
