Informative visitors centre with adjoining cafe and possibilities to walk, cycle (if you bring your bike) and book a boat trip
Visitorscenter Biesbosch Dordrecht的点评
点评:Coming on the waterbus from Dordrecht, we followed the signage to the visitors centre and ended up there eventually, but via the bicycle path. I think possibly the pedestrian sign had been turned or removed. The way back was more pleasant and easier to find. No distances are indicated on the signs, so it's hard to estimate where places are and how long it may take to walk there. When I looked up info beforehand it was not clear if one could buy food and drinks and there was even a mention of it difficult to buy, but there was a cafeteria right at the visitors centre so there was absolutely no problem getting food. Dear though, so bring snacks if that suits. I saw some drinking fountains. On the day we visited, the Zuileshoeve was also open, which was about 15 minutes walk from the visitors centre and provided beautiful farm food and seating inside and out. The walks were indicated by colours but difficult to find the start of the walks right at the centre. Once we started walking randomly, we saw poles with colours on them. The only public transport to get you to the visitors centre from Dordrecht is the water bus, which you can board once an hour from two spots in Dordrecht. And takes you back once an hour too. It seems definitely a lot easier to get there by car and/or bike. The boat trip along the creeks was interesting, but not spectacular. We had problems booking seats online as you had to make an account create a password and log in, all just for booking tickets. We timed out a few times so decided to take a chance and book at the visitors centre, which was fine and there were still seats left. But at holiday times it is advisable to book beforehand. If you can manage the whole administration of creating accounts etc. There is info at the centre and souvenirs to buy.
