Unfortunately, the wait time system is a bit disorganized and we ended up waiting far past our time outside, which, of course, we noticed, as many of the people behind us were seated ahead of us. I was more conscious of this during my visit, as I with a cousin with an artificial limb, who can't be on her feet for too long.
High west distillery is a great eatery and place to get a cocktail, made from their own liquors. You can certainly go for just tastings, but why not have a tasty snack to go alongside your beverage. The food is delicious pub food, often with a little flair. The cocktails avoid being overly sweet and are warming in the cold of winter. That said, it's a hard place to just sit and enjoy the mood, since they are eager to turn over tables and they do often have people waiting for the next round. I'd tell you to keep drinking, but all Utah establishments limit the purchase of liquor.
I would try it again, but I'd definitely go outside of peak meal times for the best experience.
