Castle Keep the only highlight.

点评：We visited here as not been for many a year and having moved out of the area some years ago now. I have memories of playing in and around the castle as a kid before it got fenced off and taken over by EH. The changes around the site are a huge improvement including the small visitor centre, gift shop and pathways.
We declined to park at the car park at the bottom of the castle hill as we know from lived experience that Conisbrough is a rough old place and there would be a chance our car would be broken into, although I believe that there is CCTV in there now and parking charges so this might have improved things. I know some years ago this car park was renowned for break ins.
We parked at the castle in one of the disabled bays they had as we have a Blue Badge but the gate is locked to the car park which is ridiculous. We had to ring a phone number for someone to open the gate but nobody answered, leaving the disabled person having to leave the car and go into the adjacent visitor centre to find a staff member. Just leave the gate open! It is less hassle and not difficult. The visitor centre is literally next door to the parking spaces and it wouldn't take much for the staff to check the 4 spaces regularly to see if anyone is parking without a Blue Badge. This is inefficient, illogical and inconvenient.
That said, the staff member who helped us was really friendly and helpful.
The site is small and the grounds are compact with little to see; however, the castle keep is the highlight and you can walk up the stairs inside the keep to the very top where there are some fine views of the surrounding area.
I feel there needs to be more information boards about, especially inside the keep.
Overall a nice way to pass an hour or so if in the area.

场地很小，场地紧凑，可看的东西不多；不过，城堡的天守阁是亮点，你可以沿着天守阁内的楼梯走到最顶层，在那里可以欣赏到周边地区的美景。
我觉得需要设置更多相关信息的展示板，尤其是在天守阁内部。
总的来说，如果在附近的话，这是一个打发一小时左右的好方法。
