点评:Located just outside of Little Langdale, Blea Tarn is one of the Lakes hidden gems.
We were lucky and visited in late April during the mini heatwave.
There is a car park with limited spaces very close to the Tarn. It is Pay & Display and only takes coins. It’s not cheap, £7.50 for 4 hours.
Car parking price to one side you can’t not be taken in by the beauty and tranquility of Blea Tarn.
The path is well made and can easily be used by wheelchair users and those with a pram / stroller. There is a well defined path that runs around the far side of the tarn. You can walk this and return via the road or back the way you’ve come. There are many other walks from here should you wish to try them. No toilet facilities are available.
It’s definitely worth a visit, the walk around the tarn takes less than two hours.
