Watersports At Low Wood Bay的点评
点评：I spent a week on Windermere with my daughter, and we wish it had been 2. We stayed at the Beech Hill hotel and spa, but had pre-booked 2 days' sailing with Low Wood Bay WaterSports. The staff at Low Wood were friendly, knowledgeable, and - to the last person - super competent and passionate sailors to boot. The Varianta 18 sloop we booked started with a brief exam (as I had left my RYA license behind), and a safety briefing, then we collected our lifejackets and were shown the boat. We soon got out, and during the initial 4 hour slot took a wonderful sail down to the Windermere Jetty museum and back, exploring a few coves on the way there, plus some boathouses and the jetty at Brockholes on the way back. Sailing time was cut short a bit early with some high winds coming up in the afternoon, but to be sure proper sailing was had throughout. The second day we repeated the tack down to the Jetty museum, then headed all the way back up to Ambleside for a picnic lunch on the public dock then a quick pint at the Waterhead Inn, and finishing with a casual sail past the dock at Wray Castle and back for a final de-brief plus a pint and smashburger at the Low Wood Bar Resort.
