Food "on the cheap"
Waters' Edge Country Park & Visitor Centre的点评
点评：This is a review of the Humber Hideaway cafe located inside the Waters' Edge visitor centre.
Barton isn't well served with Sunday cafe options so out of desperation we visited this café.
It was well populated with customers all commenting on the time it took to be served, counter service. It took 15 minutes in the queue to place an order, and then another 25 to receive the meals but about 5 minutes separated my wife receiving hers and mine arriving!
The café is at the end of the building that also acts as an Atrium for the rest of the building. As a result there is a log jam of people standing around the tables waiting with dogs as dogs are forbidden from progressing closer to the toilet facilities. Some if these dogs were not well behaved, barking and setting off other dogs in the café. This is obviously the fault if the dog owners who did not care and were laughing at their dog leaing the disturbance.
Back to the food.
When it did arrive it was a plate of barely cooked breakfast food.
Sausages had been cooked on one side only with the other side raw.
Bacon was so raw you had difficulty cutting it even with a proper knife.
Toast was virgin white and coloured with some form of margarine. The surface had seen some heat but only enough to harden the surface.
Beans were warm, tomato and hash brown OK
The Cappuccino coffee was weak. Not worthy of being associated with coffee.
Our impression was of an establishment in Fuel Poverty, trying to cook everything "on the cheap". Whether this is deliberate to save money, as a result of the high number of customers and press of time, or just how they were brought up and thought uncooked food normal we couldn't determine.

我们的印象是一家燃料匮乏的餐馆，试图“廉价”烹饪所有东西。我们无法确定这是故意为了省钱，因为顾客数量多，时间紧迫，还是他们从小就认为生食很正常。
