点评：We were staying in the area with our Kayak and we were fortunate to come across the UKAO @Avon Valley’s web site. We booked easily our self launch slot and paid £7.00 per person for 4 hours. Which is not a lot of money, there are toilets on site and changing facilities, also somewhere safe to leave our car. When we were ready, Sam showed us where to launch from and told us about the section we could kayak on and what we might see.
We went down to the lock and saw the weir. There was lots of wildlife to see and it was so relaxing. It was mainly just us and the wildlife. We’ve never seen so many Kingfishers and dragonflies, shame we missed out on seeing an otter.
It was an amazing day, it was perfect for us as we are fairly new to Kayaking, and it gave us confidence to keep trying. I would recommend
Visiting UKAO, not only do they have a self launch facility but also rental opportunities for Kayaks, SUP’s and Canoes.
