My experience at Cala Boix in Ibiza was, without exaggeration, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life — especially in Europe. The food itself was nothing special (average at best), but the real problem was the absolutely appalling service and disgraceful behavior from the staff.
The person running the bar — who I believe is the owner — openly insulted us for no reason whatsoever. This all happened over something as minor as a simple coffee mix-up, which could have been resolved politely in seconds. Instead, we were treated with rudeness, arrogance, and outright hostility.
This is not just bad service; it’s unacceptable behavior that has no place in hospitality. I would strongly urge anyone visiting Ibiza to avoid this place entirely. There are countless restaurants on the island that will treat you with respect — this is absolutely not one of them.
