点评:Absolutely amazing place! We loved it that much we stayed an extra day and did the Flørli steps TWICE!!!
The best bit??? Hiking the steps is FREE!!
When we first arrived in Flørli, we completed "Stroll to the point Flørneset" (green route) followed by "secret path" and then "Flørneset Opp" (blue route) which was a nice evening hike/round trip.
The following morning we completed the Flørli steps for the first time: The 1st and 2nd stage of the steps is the hardest, we had snow at the top but take your time and enjoy the views. Don't forget to look back! It should take an average person 2.5 hrs! There is a guestbook around 3000 steps which is a nice break before the final ascent. Anyone can do the steps, just watch your footing as some of the steps are dinky. They had just finished rebuilding a section 2300+ when we arrived so its a well looked after. There is also a wire rope that aids your ascent/descent all the way.
1st Ascent believe it or not, took us 44 mins and 44 seconds (spooky!) Second attempt 42 mins and 24 seconds!
On completing the first ascent, we decided to do Store Runden (longer hike, magenta route) which was stunning, lots of man made paths, easy walking route back down through Flørli villiage.
On completing our second ascent, we completed "Rallarstien" (shorter hike, black route) which I absolutely loved, harder under foot and steeper descent but the views are stunning throughout.
On the descent, we decided to add on the dinky "foss hike" detour on the way back and it was truly spectacular, if you only have time to do one hike, make it this one - its absolutely mesmorising!!!!
All hikes take you through the forest (where we saw a very friendly moose/elg) and the dinky viliage to the marina, passed the cafe and back to our camper van home on the quayside. The fjord is perfect for a nice swim and the water is amazing taste for drinking!
Take time to see the museum and appreciate what Fløri is famous for - Hydro power! Here you can also see what it is today, hidden away inside the mountain that you can't see..
We arrived via Kolumbus Ferry (SVEIO) from Lauvvik in our camper van (We were later told by the man in Fløri cafe that you are not supposed to bring a camper, but he kindly let us stay for the camping fee) great facilities (great shower) and astonishing views. The ferry ride itself is worth it as you get to see Preikestolen (pullpit rock) and Kjeragbolten in all their glory as well as how amazing the Norwegian Fjords has to offer.
Be kind to mother nature, respect the environment, take nothing but photos and leave nothing but footprints. Enjoy!
