点评：This is second time I had used the Pentland Ferries crossing from Gill's Bay to St Margaret's Hope (the first time was in September 2024). On all occasions, it has been a quick and pleasant crossing with great views and the ferry arriving ahead of schedule. It's a great, regular service, all year round, with pleasant and helpful staff.
But on today's crossing the staff on board were outstanding. I'd managed to get a slow puncture to a tyre on the potholed road near Gill's Bay, but the crew let me drive on and then when we reached St Margaret's Hope, they took off the wheel, drove to the local garage and got the tyre changed, brought it back and fitted it for me! And while they did all this, I was given a cup of coffee and a tour of the ferry. Just amazing. So many, many thanks to David, Dan and Alan for helping a solo female traveller in time of trouble. That's a great crew you have, #Pentland Ferries.
