More focused on selling photos than on the experience

点评：Beautiful setting, but the experience falls short of its potential
We did the 1-hour beginner tour — myself and my 8-year-old son,
both complete beginners. Credit where it's due: the horses looked
genuinely well cared for, and the scenery is lovely. You ride
through rice fields, past a river and a temple.
But we left feeling the experience could be so much more than
what's offered.
What could be improved:
- It all runs very mechanically: you arrive, pay, get on, do the
loop, get off. You can feel them rushing because other groups
are waiting.
- Very little attention paid to children. With minimal effort —
letting a child brush or feed the horse, telling them its name
and personality — this would be a wonderful family experience.
You have to push to get anything beyond the script.
- Almost nothing is explained: not about the horses, not about
the area you ride through, not about the temple or the rice
fields you pass.
- On the other hand, a lot of energy goes into selling the 20 USD
photo add-on. For what the tour costs, this should be included,
or at least not be the main focus.
And the part that struck me most: at the end I politely mentioned
to the woman at reception what could be improved, especially for
families with children. She wasn't able to suggest anything, and
showed no real interest — she was already focused on selling the
photos and moving on to the next customer.
I understand an hour doesn't allow for everything. But with the
same effort, they could deliver a far better experience. The
location and the horses deserve it.
