Watch and learn a sheepdogs jobs on this hands on family farm! Brilliant!!

点评：On our 9 day Ireland holiday. Coming from
Washington State this was hands down my favorite tour/demonstration!!!! Martin Feeney and his family have put 110 percent into teaching and showcasing their way of life as sheep farmers and world class sheep dog herding! They have 2k sheep and 8 sheepdogs that are trained to do most of the work their Dad and grandfather use to do.. before school!
We watched Mist, a border collie run thru normal herding routines by following certain whistle the herd of 8 sheep were run down thru a gate the up thru another gate. They were split off into two groups and they were ag the mercy of whatever the dog was told to have them do. The love the family has for their dogs is unique. Yes they get to live in the house! And they get tummy runs and head scratches when they ask:)
There was a pen that also had the " odd" bunch of various types of sheep. They wanted head runs! and a full body wool cutting that was thick like a blanket
It was May and there were cute little lambs we could see and pet.
The story of the area and what it takes to be a sheep farmer and the history of before now and in the future was entertaining! I have already shared to so many about everything I learned. :) Even how the land is managed and the history of the land! It's truely amazing!
So this brilliant family does not slaughter or sell sheep meat. They raise the sheep and sell them to the local farmers who sell the meat
So you are safe here and see a nice side of sheep farming.
I have sooo mang videos and pictures because I was in such awe. Or should I say ewe?

还有一个羊圈里关着一群“奇特”的、不同品种的羊。它们也想挠挠头！还有一大堆厚厚的羊毛，像毯子一样！
当时是五月，我们看到了可爱的小羊羔，还可以抚摸它们。
关于这片土地的故事，以及成为一名牧羊人需要付出什么，还有过去、现在和未来的发展，都非常有趣！我已经把学到的所有东西都分享给了很多人。:) 甚至包括土地的管理方式和历史！真是太棒了！
这个了不起的家庭并不宰杀或出售羊肉。他们饲养羊，然后卖给当地的农民，由他们来出售羊肉。
所以在这里你可以放心，还能看到牧羊业美好的一面。
我拍了好多视频和照片，因为我当时太震撼了。或者应该说，太震撼了？
