月光保护区野生保护公园的点评
点评：What a lovely little gem of a mini zoo. It started off amazingly because one of our planned group couldn't make it on the day due to work so all I needed to say was that we were one person down and the lady behind the pre-paid tickets counter offered our group a refund. I wasn't expecting that becuase we only knew about the absence after the 24 hour cut off so we were very happy. We bought some wallaby/kangeroo/duck feed and off we went in to the park.
There are lots of talks on offer, throughout the park but at certain times so be sure to plan your visit if that's what you're into - otherwise there are signs up throughout the park with times.
The wallabies are extremely tame and one hopped right up to me when they saw me, assuming they could smell the food we were packing. Very happy to gently take food from the hand.
We paid for the koala experience, which includes a few handlers explaining what they could about koalas in the wild - we petted a 13 year old female, who was happy munching away at her branches.
The cafe is reasonably priced, roughly £10 each for a burger and chips (nuggets for the little ones) each.
