"Over the hill" Bickleigh Mill

点评：Booked a table for brunch, arrived virtually none else in the cafe. Ordered breakfasts with a few substitutions for items people did not like. Waited for over 30 mins, nothing... politely asked what was happening, reply "it's being cooked" errrrrr ok. After a further wait the breakfasts began to arrive. Turns out successfully organising 7 breakfasts was beyond them (bear in mind 2 of the dishes ordered were as per the menu with no alterations). The waitress arrives..."who ordered the breakfast without, Errr hang on, there's no sausages on this one...." Off she goes back to the kitchen. More dishes arrived, as we start eating I realise my breakfast is missing mushrooms and eggs, my son the says "mines missing it's bacon". Next comment from another at the table "could someone pass the white toast?" Nope because all they've given us is two baskets of wholemeal bread (again not the granary toast stayed on the menu).
All first world problems granted but given the breakfasts were all circa £10-£15 each, not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination. Won't be returning any time soon.
Over priced and senior lady serving clearly had a problem with the breakfasts having any substitutes (if it really was a problem, then simply say no).
Strongly wouldn't recommend, makes Wetherspoons look like a well oiled machine....
All first world problems granted but given the breakfasts were all circa £10-£15 each, not brilliant by any stretch of the imagination. Won't be returning any time soon.
