点评：I was really looking forward to staying here. I’ve stayed by lakes in France and Spain before and liked the idea of camping in the forest.
We’ve got a camper van so know the reviews about Glamping wouldn’t apply.
First impressions… it’s just a campsite in a wood near a lake. I actually thought it was on the lake (ie the lake is within your bounds of the campsite). The lake is a 5 minute walk away (which is fine) and the only pitches that can see it are the treehouses and glamping pitches. We were lucky to find lots of shade as it was very hot when we got there. Hooked up to the electricity fine and set up camp. The pool… you have to pay extra to go in it. We didn’t bother as I prefer lakes overs a pool given the choice.
A family seemed to be spending their holiday sitting in front of the toilet block on deck chairs. It was shady there but we did think it was a little strange. There’s an outdoor shower there and the pot washing facilities there and they were just there all day long and into the evening too. They were helpful though as they told me it was ok to drink from the taps there.
The food was reasonably priced and seemed to be burgers and sandwiches. We ate at our van. We did drink there though. Nice environment.
We enjoyed walking up to the village across the road. The beer there was half price of the campsite and the views over the valley were stunning. Amazing sunsets there.
Positives… the pitches are relatively flat, lots of shade, clean toilets, by a lake/river and close to a pretty village.
Overall… The campsite was a highlight in our journey and the website really sells it to you. It’s won awards (I think Portugal’s best campsite in 2023) but we felt it really wasn’t that exceptional. Plus it’s the most expensive campsite we’ve EVER stayed in. We paid €50 a night for a small camper van with electricity with 3 people in it. And no pool access. We were booked in for 3 nights but chose to leave after 2.
