A great day out for the whole family

点评：This is local to us and we went along for a few hours, I have been before to an event but this was the first time we went as a family on a ‘Normal’ day.
Ticket includes entry to the roundhouse museum housing a large collection of locomotives, steam and diesel and a collection of memorabilia and lots of interesting history and information. Not only interesting to train buffs as we are not!
You get unlimited train rides on the short narrow gauge railway. There is a smaller garden railway and a tram way but they were not running when we were there.
Entry also includes the FANTASTIC new funfair collection. It’s £20 for 30 tokens and it’s 3 tokens per ride and we did them all, more than once!
I’ll say it again FANTASTIC not only the rides but memorabilia and information to read, look at and enjoy!
I would 100% recommend a day out here for the family even if you’re not train enthusiasts!
Downside, I like my Lorries and there is a collection of American MACK trucks and various other vehicles that used to be available to view in the transport museum but that’s now a roller disco and various interesting Lorrie’s including some fairground trucks and trailers I’d like to see hidden and not in public areas.
