点评：This is one of those bits of transport that people use without thinking about—but it’s actually part of the experience if you pay attention. It’s a short, steep funicular that gets you up to the fortress in a couple of minutes, saving you a fairly sweaty uphill walk.
The ride itself is quick but smooth, and the views start opening up almost immediately as you climb above Salzburg’s old town. It’s not a long journey, so don’t expect a full “attraction” in its own right—but it does exactly what it needs to, and does it well.
Only downside is that it can get busy, especially mid-day, and you might find yourself queuing or packed in depending on timing.
Verdict: Efficient, scenic, and worth using—just don’t expect it to be the main event.
