Experience of a lifetime with the Rhinos of Matobo NP and African Wanderer full day tour.

点评：We were part of a tour organised by African Overland Tours and Acacia of Africa with a 2 night stay in Bulawayo. We upgraded to a full day tour with African Wanderer with our guide Ian Godfrey. In our travels from Cape Town, we hadn't seen a Rhino after 20 days in Africa. This tour was amazing and was right up there with our tour of Kruger. We had never heard of Matobo NP, as it is one of the smallest in Africa and we hardly saw another jeep in the park. It was one of our most favourite memorable days in Africa. We started the morning early and a lovely warm blanket was provided for each of us to use whilst traveling in the open game truck. Our tour visited the community market within the park where we were able to purchase some nice quality souvenirs at very reasonable prices. Ian's knowledge of the history of Zimbabwe and the park was outstanding. He was passionate about the park's wonderful conservation effort to save the beautiful Rhinos from poachers. He not only guided us to the "Top of the World" lookout where Cecil Rhodes grave lies, but provided an in depth history of Rhodes and the history of southern Africa. He had a great repoire with the park rangers which supervised and guard the Rhino in the park 24 hours a day. The park ranger was able to lead us through the bush on foot to find several groups of Rhinos during the day. At times, we were no less than 10 metres from them. Ian provided a comfortable spot for lunch and provided a delicious lunch for us to enjoy. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour. It was amazing value and of a very professional standard. African Wanderer has left us with some of the most amazing memories that we will forever cherish.
