The best hike adventure with beautiful surroundings!

点评：Waw....where do I start? Best day out ever!
We brought hiking footwear on this holiday as we knew we wanted a hike so first thing first bring suitable footwear trainers etc not sandals!
As this gorge was about 10k from our hotel we had planned to get a taxi one day but instead we paid 20 euros each on the hop on hop off bus tour which brings your right outside and meant we could see other sights for that price also so felt it was good value. (Rethymo city tours)
The gorge was amazing and as keen hikers we kept going off the main pathway and climbing up to see others little caves so would be difficult to describe how far we walked and neither of us brought our smartwatches but I would say it is a moderate hike so providing your in good health and wearing right clothing you should be fine.
We loved seeing old ruins and the wildlife including butterflies frogs and Goats and some amazing blue coloured dragon fly type of insects. We took dips in streams was a magical experience!
Two different tavernas at each end so no matter where you start and finish you should pass one we did both and they were both very good!
Little tip bring water and either use your empty bottle or bring a spare and fill it up with fresh mountain water we did it at the church as there was a little water stream easily accessible tasted cold and delicious!
Would defo recommend!

两端各有两家不同的酒馆，所以无论你从哪里开始和结束，都应该经过一家。我们两家都去了，而且都非常棒！
小贴士：带水，你可以用你的空瓶子，或者带一个备用的，装满新鲜的山泉水。我们在教堂的时候就这么做了，因为那里有一条小溪，很容易找到，味道冰凉可口！
