Great day out at Lottemaa - eco-friendly theme park

点评：We visited Lottemaa again on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. Though the day started quite rainy we really enjoyed our visit. Lottemaa is a pleasant theme park, especially for younger children, but also for adults. The focus is on the stories of the dog girl Lotte, her sister Roosi and their friends. However especially young kids will have no problems to understand the stories without having heard of Lotte before.
The entire facility is built from wood in a very environmentally friendly way, there is no high noise level: all songs are sung live.
There is a programme throughout the day: plays, musicals and lots of hands-on activities. The children can paint and do handicrafts in the houses and they can also carry out small experiments (for example on the question: where does electricity come from?).
Lottemaa is located directly by the sea. Children can play on the beach, swim and surf, for example.
Food and beverages can be bought - the prices are similar to other amusement parks (always a but to high), e.g. beverages start at 2,50€ pancakes 6€ (2024), but you can bring your own food with you. The gift shop is quite expensive.
There is a car park with a direct train connection to the entrance (3€ one way). All tickets (parking fee, train, entrance fee) can be booked online in advance for the summer-period. Look out for the special offers ahead of the summer-opening.
The first and the last trains to and from the park are accompanied with the actors - highly recommended! We will certainly come back.
