点评：Well, I have a lot to share but I'll try to simplify my experience.. I'll try, I said. 😉
There's these two wonderful men who took my boyfriend and I out on a 6 day adventure in the Pyrenees. One took us out in what they call the lower country and the other took us way up high above the treeline. I'll show you pictures of both. We just returned so, this would be the last week of June. The weather was perfect 👌. We wore long sleeve and pants in the morning and if your clothing were lightweight, you could just wear it all day to avoid the sun exposure. And don't forget a raincoat 🧥.
I am newer to flyfishing but my person is an avid fisherman. I also know vacation Spanish which isn't much. These two guides made communication easy. And you will learn a lot from them. So don't be afraid of language barriers. They also are amazing teachers. Patient, kind, easy. I learned a lot and my skill set as a fisher-woman soared. I am so grateful 🙏.
The lodging is so much fun! The lower country fishing leaves you at a hotel in a small village that is absolutely gorgeous. We did a hike one day (see pic) to the top of the city and it was really fun to eat in the square and hang out in the town. However, dinner was included at the restaurant and the food was phenomenal 😋. The room? Sooo cool! It was like... mideval looking. And beautiful. I loved it (see pic)
The high country, well, it's about as beautiful as it gets. And the drive out is so wonderful. You drive through these small villages and places you'd never see if you didn't do this trip. It is so far out in the middle of nowhere and the general public doesn't have access. And then you just fish and have a picnic in the wide open with wildlife and wildflowers everywhere 😍.
Take a train back to Barcelona, which is also fun and short (~1 hour) and stay and play for a few days. I mean, you're already all the way to Spain 🇪🇸 🙃
🔐 The last thing I wanna say is, and this is VERY IMPORTANT .. this is not a, catch the biggest fish in the world, place 🙅🏼♀️. These fish are significant for a different reason. I'll let them share that with you. They are fairly small and some are medium but they are very important fish (see pics).
The experience is about where you are. It's about the beauty, the location, the food and the wine, and the experience of fishing 🎣... don't get it twisted 🌪. Don't come all the way to Spain and fish and get mad at the locals for having beautiful, special, smaller fish. Go there and experience. You will never forget it! 🌅 and you will never regret it 🏞.
