Gorgeous Beach in a Lovely Village

点评：We loved this beach!
We splurged at the end of our trip and stayed at Hotel Hostalillo with a commanding view of the beach and Tamariu village.
The beach was as picturesque as they get. The cove is compact with fishing boat moored offshore. The golden sand is coarse and deep. The short promenade is dotted with restaurants. There is a second tiny beach, Platja Dels Liris, to the right of the hotel that features a diving board for those who dare to plunge into the Mediterranean from 10 feet up. My wife did.
In the night, rough seas from an offshore storm brought in strong waves that crashed loudly all night and actually overtopped the diving board while we ate our breakfast on the hotel terrace. It was all stunningly beautiful. I highly recommend a trip to Tamariu in the shoulder seasons to avoid the full crowds, which I suspect will ruin the tranquility we felt while here in Tamariu.
